Absolutely. Studio Minosa is based in Sydney, but our work has never been defined by postcode.
Over the years, we have designed homes across Sydney and beyond: Brunswick in Melbourne, Bunbartha in regional Victoria, Monash in South Australia, Petchys Bay in Tasmania, Fiji and even the south of France. Each project has come with its own landscape, architecture, climate, local trades and way of living. That is part of what makes working outside Sydney so rewarding.
A home in Brunswick asks different questions to a waterfront property in Fiji. A rural Victorian renovation needs to respond differently to a tightly planned inner-city terrace. But the starting point is always the same: who lives here, how do they want to live, what is not working now, and what could this home become?
Distance does not stop good design. It simply asks for a more considered process.
Our work is built around detailed briefing, spatial planning, 3D visualisation, comprehensive documentation, carefully considered selections and clear communication with clients, builders and suppliers. It allows us to develop the design properly before construction begins, giving everyone involved a clear understanding of the intent, the materials, the details and the feeling we are trying to create.
We are not project managers, and local builders remain essential to delivering a project on site. Our role is to protect and implement the design: helping clients navigate decisions, coordinate selections, respond to changes and ensure the original thinking is not lost once the project moves from drawings into construction.

Like the myth that we only take on large jobs, the idea that we only work in Sydney is not quite right either. We are interested in projects of all sizes and locations when there is an engaged client, a genuine design challenge and an opportunity to create something thoughtful, refined and deeply connected to its place.
