The Myth of the Small Job

We received a message from a potential new client yesterday that made us stop and think.
“I wasn’t sure whether to reach out. I thought you might be too big or too busy for a smaller project.”
And honestly, we understand why people might think that. We share a lot of whole-home projects, large kitchens, detailed bathrooms and full renovations. But the truth is very simple.

We love a good small job.
In fact, the old saying is true: a small job can be a very good job.
For us, it has never really been about the size of the project. It is about the quality of the thinking. We are interested in working with clients who are invested in making something better. That does not always mean expensive. It means considered.
A single room can completely change the way a home feels. A laundry that finally works. A powder room that makes you smile. A bathroom that feels calm instead of chaotic. A kitchen that is not huge, but is planned properly. A home office that supports the way you actually live and work.

Good design is not measured by square metres.
It is measured by how well a space works, how naturally it supports your day, and how good it feels to be in.
Sometimes the most satisfying projects are the ones where there is a clear problem to solve. An awkward room. A tired space. A layout that fights against you. A room that has never quite worked, but you know it could.
That is where design becomes powerful.
We love taking those spaces and rethinking them properly. Not just making them look better, but making them function better. More storage. Better light. Better flow. Better proportions. Better materials. Better details. A room that finally makes sense.
Because great design is not only about creating beautiful spaces. It is about creating spaces that feel better to live in.

So yes, we do small jobs.
We do bathrooms. Laundries. Powder rooms. Home offices. Bedrooms. Bars. Living rooms. Storage solutions. Small kitchens. Awkward corners. Forgotten spaces. Rooms that need help.
The only thing we really ask is that the client cares.
If you are invested in making the space great, we are interested in helping you get it there.
Small does not mean simple. Small does not mean less important. And small certainly does not mean it cannot be beautiful.
Sometimes, one well-designed room is enough to change the way you feel about your whole home.
