We Won. And This One Means a Lot.

April 2, 2026
There are moments in a studio’s journey that stop you for a second.
This was one of them.
We are incredibly proud to share that Studio Minosa has been awarded Innovative Integration at the inaugural Blum Design Awards — a recognition that celebrates not just how something looks, but how it *works*, how it moves, and how it improves everyday life.
And for us, that’s everything.
The Invisible Bar
The winning piece is what we’ve come to call the Invisible Bar — a project driven by a simple but challenging idea:
Can something highly functional exist without announcing itself?
The answer, in this case, is yes.
When closed, the bar reads as part of the architecture. Calm. Quiet. Resolved.
There is no visual noise, no indication of what sits behind.
Then, through use, it reveals itself.
Full-height doors open effortlessly. Drawers glide forward. Layers of storage unfold — each element considered, organised and ready. And when the moment is over, it disappears again, returning the space to stillness.
This is where design moves beyond form.
This is where it becomes experience.
Integration, Not Addition
What made this project special — and ultimately award-winning — is not any single element, but how everything works together.
Blum hinge systems allow the doors to operate with precision and consistency, maintaining alignment while supporting the weight and scale of full-height joinery.
The LEGRABOX drawer system, paired with internal organisation, creates a layered approach to storage — ensuring that every item has its place, nothing shifts, and everything is exactly where it needs to be when you need it most.
This is what we often talk about as Design Life Better.
Not more. Not louder. Just better.
Innovation Through Restraint
There’s a temptation in design to show everything — to celebrate function by making it visible.
We chose the opposite.
The Invisible Bar is not about display. It’s about control.
About knowing when to reveal, and when to hold back.
Innovation here isn’t expressed through complexity, but through clarity.
A series of considered decisions that allow the space to feel effortless, even though a great deal is happening beneath the surface.
A Shared Win
Awards like this are never individual.
They are the result of trust from our clients, collaboration with skilled trades, and partnerships with suppliers who enable us to push ideas further.
To the team at Blum — thank you for creating systems that allow design to move the way it should.
And to everyone involved in bringing this project to life — this is your win as much as it is ours.
Design Life Better
This project is a reminder of why we do what we do.
To create spaces that support how people live.
To remove friction.
To bring a sense of calm to everyday moments.
Sometimes, the best design is the one you don’t see at all.
