Three Finalists. Two Projects. One Design Philosophy.

June 26, 2026

We’re thrilled to share that our Brunswick and Alexandria renovations have been named finalists across three categories in this year’s KBDi Design Awards.

While awards are always an honour, what excites us most is what these projects represent. Both homes were shaped by the same belief that great renovation design begins with understanding people, how they live, what they value and how their home can support them better every day.

Brunswick β€” Kitchen Plus & Master Suite Finalist

At Brunswick, the kitchen and master suite sit at opposite ends of the home, yet they share a common purpose. The kitchen was designed as the social heart of the house, balancing functionality, entertaining and everyday family life. The master suite became a private retreat, carefully planned to create a sense of calm, comfort and well-being. Together, they demonstrate how thoughtful spatial planning can transform both the public and private moments of living.

Alexandria β€” Design Space Finalist

Our Alexandria project tells a different story. Having completed the major renovation several years earlier, the homeowners returned to us to create one final space. The result was the Invisible Bar, a room designed to appear as beautifully crafted joinery until the moment it is opened and revealed. Hidden in plain sight, it celebrates the idea that luxury is often found in restraint rather than excess.

Although each project delivers a very different outcome, they are connected by the same design principles. Spaces that feel intuitive. Materials chosen for longevity. Joinery that works harder. Layered lighting that creates atmosphere. And a commitment to designing homes that are as functional as they are beautiful.

As interior designers, we believe successful renovations are never simply about creating impressive rooms. They are about creating homes that feel deeply connected to the people who live within them and the place they call home.

To have two very different projects recognised across three KBDi categories is incredibly rewarding. More importantly, it reinforces something we have always believed: when design starts with people and place, exceptional outcomes naturally follow.

We look forward to celebrating with our fellow finalists and discovering the results in August.
