This 20-year-old Glenbrook home needed more than a cosmetic update. The original floor plan no longer supported the way the family lived, with disconnected rooms, underused areas and a kitchen/scullery layout that created pressure points rather than flow. As the family grew, with older children, partners and grandchildren now part of everyday life, the home needed to work harder, feel more connected and support a more modern way of living.
Our approach was to rethink the planning first. By opening up key areas, reconnecting the kitchen and living spaces, and giving forgotten rooms a stronger purpose, the home became more usable, more social and more aligned with the rhythm of family life today. The result is a warm, highly functional home that respects its Blue Mountains setting while giving the family a fresh, considered and beautifully resolved place to gather.
